Hydroxyapatite is a complex preservatives., phosphate ions found to have the ability to bond to bone. Zinc, magnesium, manganese and copper are co-factors in metabolic processes involving collagen and bone.

Calcium hydroxyapatite is combined with calcium citrate which has 20-60% greater absorption than calcium carbonate.
